Michael Deutsch has been Cosumnes River College’s Head Athletic Trainer since 1990. Prior to that, he spent 3 years each at CRC and American River College as the athletic trainer while on contract through Crowl Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine (a total of more than three decades association with Los Rios CCD.) He earned a B.S. degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from CSU, Sacramento in 1981 and worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at San Francisco State University for 2 years.

Mike was been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 1982 (through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification.) Additionally, Mike earned and held a California Physical Therapist Assistant’s license for over 20 years. He has cared for thousands of student athletes at CRC and an untold number of other athletes and patients at colleges, universities, physical therapy clinics and hospitals.
