BASEBALL SEASON OPENER AGAINST SHASTA

BASEBALL SEASON OPENER AGAINST SHASTA

The Hawks not only won the State Title in 2012, but they also have a wide range of achievements in the sixteen years that Coach Bloomfield has been at CRC.  In the past, the baseball team has won the Big 7 Championship in 2006, the Bay Valley East Championship in 2005, and the Bay Valley East Championship in 2003.

The 2014 season will hope to be a great one for the Hawks.  The Hawks are ranked thirteenth in the 2014 California Community College Baseball Coaches Association NorCal Pre-Season Polls.  The Big 8 Conference looks to be very tough this year with 7 of the teams ranked in the top 20 in the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association Nor-Cal Pre-Season Polls.  The 7 teams that are ranked include: San Joaquin Delta (2), Santa Rosa (3), Sierra (4), Sacramento (11), Modesto (18), and Diablo Valley (19).

The Hawks have their work cut out for them with their tough strength of schedule, however they do return a good amount of veterans and leaders.  The team returns thirteen players and added thirteen freshmen to the roster.  The Hawks look to establish great team chemistry and discipline under Head Coach Tony Bloomfield to get the season started off on the right foot!
