Hawks roar back for 10-1 victory in home opener.

Shasta opened the scoring in the top of the second with an unearned run on a walk, error and a single against starter Thomas Galart. Galart got the win pitching 3 innings giving up 2 hits and having one walk and one strikeout on the day.

The hitters carried the Hawks as they pounded out 10 hits on the day led by Brett Bloomfield's 3 hits in 4 at bats. Bloomfield had two rbi's with his three hits. 

Jordan Estes went 2 for 3 with two walks on the side scoring two runs in the process.Daniel Enes, Brian Morley, Francisco Prado, John Treat with a double, and Billy Rockefeller all chipped in with a hit apiece. Rockefeller's hit was the big blow with a bases clearing triple in the fourth inning when the Hawks scored 4 runs ultimately icing the game. CRC added two more runs in the sixth and eighth innings to get to the final 10-1 score.

The Hawks took advantage of the Shasta pitching staff's wildness as CRC used 11 walks in the victory with Estes, Trevor Ray, Damien Chavez, and Jordan Yu all collecting two walks each.

The Hawks used seven pitchers on the day including starter Galart as Tim Tarrant, Marcus Helm, Donovan Harrison, Daniel Vitoria, John Treat, and Jordan Yu all pitched an inning each. Hawks relievers only allowed three hits and four walks in their six innings of work.

The Hawks are now 1-0 on the season with the win.
