The big story to this game was the Hawks bullpen. Josh Caldwell came into the game to relieve Nic Wilson and threw the ball terrific. Caldwell went 3 and 1/3 innings of shut out baseball to then hand the ball over to Joey Pankratz. Pankratz closed the door earning his first save of the year.
In this game, the Cosumnes River Hawks (7-1) offense consisted of three players. JD Mico had 4 hits with an RBI and a walk. Aaron Pierce provided the team with 3 hits and 2 RBI's. Lastly, Brett Gieseke had 2 hits with 2 RBI's. This is the first game of today's doubleheader.
