The Cosumnes River Hawks (9-6) lose big to Merced College (8-4) 9 to 3. Hawks came out with an earlier 1st inning lead. It was all Merced from there, as they put up 9 runs in the contest. Corey Potthoff and Kyle Galart came in to stop the bleeding but it was too late. The Hawks never got it going offensively, and they didn't play good defense to end the game.
Offensively, Burle Dixon was the only Hawk to provide more than 1 hit. The Hawks, didn't look to be the offensive juggernaut they have been so far throughout the year. The Hawks will play Merced again on Saturday to end their pre season schedule.
