Congress Shuts the Beavers Down

The Cosumnes River Hawks (11-6) start league off with a 11 to 4 win against American River College (5-10). Josh Congress (4-1) was spectacular in his start on the mound Tuesday,  pitching 6  innings with 6 strike outs and no earned runs. John Treat and Brennon Berninger closed the game out, giving the hawks 3 innings combined with no earned runs. 

The Hawks first six hitters in the lineup did most the work Tuesday. Burle DixonAaron PierceJoey PankratzDamien ChavezAlex Crouch and  Jared Alameida combined for a total of 12 hits and 7 RBI's. The Hawks will face the Beavers 2 more times this week starting wednesday at 2pm.
