The Cosumnes River Hawks (12-10, 2-4 BIG 8) stop the bleeding by beating Diablo Valley College Vikings (9-10, 4-2 BIG 8) 12 to 4. Damien Chavez had a big day for the club, going 2 for 4 with 3 RBI's and 2 walks. The Hawks put together 12 hits and managed to continue to put runs on the board throughout the game.
On the mound Hawks Ace, Josh Congress (5-2), stepped up to the plate and stopped the bleeding. The Club was on a 4 game losing streak and desperately needed this win. AJ Wood came in for the last 4 innings to shut the door. The Hawks will look to continue to find ways to win in the tough Big 8 Conference next week against Folsom Lake College (14-5, 2-4 Big8).
