The Cosumnes River Hawks (14-13, 4-7 Big 8) lose by ten to the Sacramento City Panthers (17-5, 6-2 Big 8). The downfall for the Hawks were 15 free bases they gave to the panthers. The Hawks walked 13 batters and hit 2. Josh Congress (6-3) struggled in his start, walking 6 batters and giving up 5 hits in 4 and 1/3 innings.
Offensively, Brett Gieseke and Burle Dixon each contributed 3 hits. For the most, part the Panthers shut CRC down only allowing 4 earned runs. The Hawks will face the Panthers Saturday for the final game of the series.
