The Cosumnes River Hawks (15-15, 5-9 Big 8) get a much needed win against Sierra College (20-6, 9-2 Big 8) Tuesday afternoon. Nic Wilson had a terrific start Thursday giving the Hawks a chance a win. Wilson went 4 and 1/3 innings and was relieved by Timmy Tarrant and Kyle Galart.
Offensively, Burle Dixon and Jared Alameida had two hits on the day. Daniel Vitoria came in late to close the game for the Hawks. Vitoria gave the Hawks a chance to win the game in the bottom of the 9th and the offense answered. Joey Pankratz, drove in Jared Alameida for the game winning sacrifice fly. The Hawks will play at Sierra College Friday to finalize the season series.
