Hawks Pitching Keep the Game Close

The Cosumnes River Hawks (15-17, 5-11 Big 8) couldn't get the offense going against the Santa Rosa Bear Cubs, (20-6, 10-3 Big 8) losing 0 to 5. John Treat, (1-4) got the start for the Hawks giving up 3 earned runs in 5 innings. Nic Wilson, had one of his best relief appearances of the year with 2 strike outs in 1 and 1/3 innings. 

The offense for the Hawks was shut down by Santa Rosa, as they could only manage one hit in the contest. The Hawks kept the game close despite the offensive struggles. The Hawks will face Santa Rosa for the second game in a three game series Thursday.
