The Cosumnes River Hawks (16-18, 6-12 Big 8) lose a close game until the end, against Santa Rosa College (21-7, 11-4 Big 8) 4 to 10. Burle Dixon, led the charge with 2 hits 1 RBI and a stolen base. JD Mico had a similar day with 2 hits plus an RBI. The Hawks took a tie game into the 6th inning 4 to 4.
The pitching and defense couldn't hold the tie for the Hawks, as they gave up 6 runs to follow. The Hawks made three critical errors in the field that led to Santa Rosa runs. The Hawks will look forward to the next tough series against San Joaquin Delta College (27-4) next week.
