SACRAMENTO (1-29) – The Hawks finished up their three game homestand as they hosted Mendocino College in Sacramento. The Hawks scored eight runs over the final three innings to defeat the Eagles 8-3.

The Hawks swept their two-game series against Shasta while the Eagles won their series with College of the Redwoods 2-1.

The combination of pitching and defense kept the Hawks in a close ball game. Alex Crouch, Nic Wilson, Griffin Selby, Brian Freitas, and Troy Davis took the mound for the Hawks.

Four players - Ryan Barry, Brett Graber, Selby and Joey Pankratz - had two hits apiece. Barry and Pankratz had two RBIs with Pankratz's coming by way of a two run home run. Graber also had one RBI. Dean Lucas and Mark Aubrey had one hit and one RBI apiece.

The win went to Wilson while the loss went to Gary Grosjean. 

The Hawks will hit the road Thursday and Friday to take on Skyline College in San Bruno.
