SACRAMENTO (4-30) - Hawks host single elimination game against Marin College. CRC comes out on top 12-8 to advance to a Regional best of 3 series with Feather River College.
Marin College of the Bay Valley coference had a league record of 13-8 and an overall record of 20-19. Cosumnes River finished the year with a Big 8 conference record of 10-14 and overall record of 22-17.
Nic Wilson got the ball first for CRC. Wilson would go 2 innings before the Hawks would dip into the bullpen. Troy Davis was the first reliever of the day. Joe Pankratz, Griffin Selby, and Kyle Galart all threw as well. Joe Pankratz was the winning pitcher for Cosumnes, Matthew Lozovoy was the losing pitcher for Marin.
Brett Graber and Burle Dixon Jr led CRC offensively. Dixon was 2x3 with a HR, walked once and had a stolen base. Graber went 2x5 with 3 RBIs. Run support seemed to come from everone though, JD Mico was 1x3 with an RBI and a walk; Dean Lucas was 1x3 1RBI and 2 walks; Joe Pankratz 2x4 1RBI and 2 walks; Jeremy Kolb 2x4 1RBI; Essex Brown 1x2 1 RBI.
Hawks now advance to a best of 3 series against Feather River College. FRC will host the series in Quincy and will start Friday at 3pm.
