Regional Series with FRC Goes 3 Games

QUINCY (5-3/5-4) - Cosumnes beats Feather River in best of 3 regional series.

Feather River was 23-2 in the Golden Valley Conference and 34-6 overall. CRC is coming off a single elimination game win over Marin College.

Game 1 - Alex Crouch, Owen Hunt and Troy Davis got the call to the bump for CRC. The Hawks offense was held to only 4 hits on the day. Cosumnes lost game 1 by the score of 7-3. Damien Awai got the win for FRC with Jacob Miller earning a save. Crouch was the losing pitcher.

Game 2 - Nic Wilson, Kyle Galart and Joe Pankratz were the Hawk hurlers. CRC designated hitter, Kyler Key, was a major factor. Key homered and doubled to drive in 3 runs to help boost the Hawks to a 6-3 win and force a game 3. Galart was the winning pitcher. Grant Goff was the losing pitcher for FRC.

Game 3 - Josh Caldwell, Ethan Torres, Joe Pankratz and Troy Davis pitched in the deciding game 3. Brett Graber 2x3 2 doubles 2 RBI, Joe Pankratz 3x4 3RBI; Kyler Key 2x4 RBI. Hawks would win the rubber match 10-7. Ethan Torres was the winning pitcher, Estaban Sosa got the loss for FRC.

Cosumnes now advances to Super Regional best of 3 series. Hawks will face Big 8 opponent San Joaquin Delta. Game 1 is Thursday, 2pm at SJDJC.
