The 2020 Season also brings Coach Jno Shuler back to the Hawks for his 18^th season as the pitching coach at CRC.  This will be his 25th year of coaching at the junior college level.  He also has 10 years of coaching at California State University, Los Angeles. 

 

Jno has coached a number of pitchers that pitched at the 4-year collegiate level or gone into the professional ranks.  

 

 

 

Justin Miller (1997), Bud Smith (1998), Chad Qualis (1998) and David Hernandez (2005) have all pitched in the major leagues.   

 

 

Nick Pesco (2003), Mike Hacker (2005) and Nick Nunez (2006) were conference Pitchers of the Year.  David Hernandez (2005) was Bay Valley East Player of the Year.  

 

In addition, Coach Jno’s coaching helped the Hawks reach and win the State Championships in 2012.
