Hawks take Consolation Title at Chabot Tournament.

Game one: Wayne County 70-67

The Hawks dropped an overtime heartbreaker to Wayne County in their opener in the Chabot Tournament. They were up by three at the half and Wayne County after evening the score after regulation outscored the Hawks by a 7-4 margin in OT for the victory. Khari Hutt was the Hawks leader in scoring as he shot a sizzeling 8-12 from the field including 3-4 from beyond the arc. Leondre Lintz added 19 for the Hawks, mostly from the charity stripe as he was 11-12 free throwing. Jordan Roberson chipped in with 12 points for the Hawks. Robert Tolbert was the rebound leader with 6 to go along with his 9 points.

Game two: CRC 88-81

The Hawks defeated Bethesda JV team behind Khari Hutt's best game of the year as he tallied 29 for the Hawks, including 21 in the second half. The Hawks had five players in double figures with Leondre Lintz added 17, helped by another excellent free-throwing eveing as he hit 7-8 from the stripe. Lintz's free throwing prowess has vaulted him to 6th in the state as far as FT percentage.  Jordan Roberson was next with 13 points and Victor Wariso and Dé Rajaee Austin both chipped in with 12 on the night.

Game three: CRC 61-47

In possibly a preview of later Big 8 action, the Hawks defeated Sierra College by fourteen by jumping out to a 21 point halftime lead. Even though the Hawks were out-rebounded 47-33, it was the team effort that proved to be vital as once again Robert Tolbert led with 6 rebounds. From there it was excellent teamwork as four Hawks, Jordan Roberson, Khari Hutt, Victor Wariso, and Bolaji Famuyiwa all had four boards in the game.

Holding Sierra to 47 in the victory is the Hawks best defensive effort on the the season so far which should prove to be an inspiration for the coming conference play.

Leondre Lintz had 23 to lead the Hawks scoring with a 6-12 shooting from the field including 3-6 from beyond the arc. Roberson added 14 for the Hawks while Hutt chipped in with 12. 

By winning the Consolation Title in the tournament the Hawks move to 10-6 on the year.
