Hawks Too Much for Sierra

Elk Grove, Ca. - Cosumnes River College scored 49 points in the first half grabbing an 18 point lead and never looked back in beating Sierra College in a Big 8 showdown 88-66. The Hawks played well in the second half as well outscoring the Wolverines 39-35

The Hawks were led by sophomore Leondre Lintz who finished the game with 35 points.  Lintz was 6 of 11 from beyond the arc in his 12-20 shooting night from the field overall. Lintz continued his outstanding free throw shooting with a 5 of 5 night which puts him at #2 in the state at 90.5%, just .4% behing the state leader. Lintz also dished out 10 dimes for the game.

Freshman Jordan Roberson added 28 points in what was possibly his best game overall on the season so far. Roberson was 6 of 8 with his 3 point shooting and 10 of 14 overall in the game. Roberson also had 6 rebounds and 5 assists in a solid all-around game.

Khari Hutt added 12 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds while Victor Wariso had 7 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists off the bench for the Hawks.

The Hawks are now 11-10 on the year and 2-4 in Big 8 action.

Next up for the Hawks is a road trip to play San Joaquin Delta on Tuesday the 24th at 5:30pm and they return home on Friday against Modesto to open the second half of conference play.
