This past Friday, CRC hosted the annual Coaches vs. Cancer night to support the cause of saving lives from cancer, raise awareness, and encourage donations for cancer research. All proceeds go the American Cancer Society.
The Hawks and Mustangs both played zone defenses to start the first half of play. That strategy limited the possessions and led to a low scoring first ten minutes of the game. CRC struggled to score in the last five minutes of the half which led to a 31-18 Delta halftime lead. In the second half, sophomore sharp shooter Gor Mikayelyan came in shooting 4-5 from 3-point land to help get CRC within 5 points. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough, and so the Hawks fell 57-45.
