CRC takes command from beginning to end at Sac City

Tonight's game at Sac City was a demonstration of solid team effort on both sides of the floor for the Hawks! From beginning to end, CRC was in control on offense and defense. Defensively, a large portion of active zone, contested perimeter shots, limited paint touches by Sac City, and 36 rebounds by CRC really drove the offensive energy.

The Hawks stayed continuously aggressive on offense with dribble drive attacks and finding open shooters who knocked down shots. Gor Mikayelyen had 13 points all in the first half. De'Rajaee Austin had a solid overall game making good decisions with the pass, taking care of the ball, and hitting open looks. Jalen Valverde led the team in rebounding for the second game in a row with 9. Valverde also collected 8 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals. His quiet, confident point guard leadership really drives the team's success. The Hawks also had nice inside presence with some isolation plays for Nate Wilson (14 points) who pounded it inside and scored around the bucket. Everton Maxwell contributed with 8 points inside with some dishes from his guards.

It was a very well earned victory against the crosstown rival Sac City Panthers.

Our next game is at home this Friday at 5:30pm vs Santa Rosa. We are hosting Sophomore Night and look forward to highlighting this year's sophomores De'Rajaee Austin, Jordan Roberson, Gor Mikayelyen, and Everton Maxwell. This is game will be streamed live on NorCal Sports TV.
