UKIAH (11-16) – The Hawks took on College of the Redwoods in Ukiah. The game was the second of the Hawks' time at the John Hogue Memorial Classic. The Hawks won 81-48 over the Corsairs.
Both teams lost their last game. The Hawks lost 79-76 in overtime to Los Medanos College yesterday in Ukiah while the Corsairs lost 80-65 to Modesto Junior College in Ukiah.
In the first half, the Hawks used a balanced effort and high energy from each player as the Hawks led 37-22 at halftime.
In the second half, the Hawks kept complete control of the game from beginning to end. The starters were able to get some rest and the reserves took advantage of some valuable minutes in the second half. The Hawks won 81-48.
Paul Ohiri and Marcus Robinson both scored thirteen, Samuel Cota scored twelve and Drew Buggs scored eleven for the Hawks in the win.
The next game for the Hawks will be tomorrow as they finish up their time in Ukiah as they take on Lassen College in the consolation championship of the John Hogue Memorial Classic.
