Hawks Fall to CCCMBCA #15 Bear Cubs

SANTA ROSA (2-8) – The Hawks traveled to Santa Rosa to take on Santa Rosa Junior College. The Bear Cubs outscored the Hawks by thirteen in the first half en route to a 91-77 victory.

First half play was all about stopping the Bear Cubs' heavily recruited prospect Skylar Chavez. Chavez led the Bear Cubs with twenty-eight points in the first half. The Bear Cubs led 48-35 at halftime.

In the second half, the Hawks gave a much stronger defensive showing. The Hawks started to feel a better offensive flow as well with a mix of transition points, 3-point shots, and attacks at the rim, including a monsterous one-handed dunk by Paul Ohiri). 

Khari Hutt had twenty points, Marcus Robinson had eighteen points and Ohiri had fifteen points

The next game for the Hawks is Tuesday as they take on Modesto Junior College in Sacramento at 7:30 pm.
