HAWKS WITH A WIN TODAY MOVE INTO A TIE FOR FIRST PLACE

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Hawks are now 2-1 in Conference play!  They have an overall record of 4-7-3.  CRC continues Conference play by hosting Santa Rosa Junior College today Friday October 24th at 4:00 PM.  Santa Rosa JC comes in with the same record as the Hawks in conference play of 2-1. This is a critical game as both teams are still battling for the Big 8 Conference title!

The Hawks have a balance attack with goals coming from 14 different players with assists being tallied by 12 players so far this season. The Hawks and Santa Rosa are both ½ game behind Delta College in race for the Big 8 Conference title.  A win today by either school will put them in tie for first place at the half way point of Conference play.  

The CRC hawks are very young team with majority of its players being freshmen. Two of the top attacking freshmen are Alejandro Renteria and Juan Ramirez who each having 3 goals to go with 1 assist so far to start off their careers at CRC.

Assistant Coach Brandon Evangelista says "Today is a very crucial game as we are both tied for 2nd in Conference.  Games agaist Santa Rosa are always very physical battles along with a techincal showdown with the players.  This week trainings have looked good, with all the players being pumped and ready for this big conference showdown!"
