The College of the Canyons Cougars scored in the 20th minute and the 40th minute for a 2-0 halftime lead. COC took nine shots against the Hawks in the half six of them on goal, Antonio Welch had four saves of the shots that were on goal.
The Hawks finally got on board in the 77th minute when Cameron Peuse scored his first goal of the season off an assist from Bryan Gonzalez, his first of the year. The Hawks were out shot 15-12 on the day by the Cougars.
Next up for the Hawks is our Big 8 conference opener against American River College. The game will be here on the CRC pitch at 4pm on Friday the 23rd.
