Clovis and Cosumnes River tie 1-1.

The Hawks went on the road to play the Clovis Crush, a relatively new 3C2A program in Clovis on Friday and came away with a 1-1 tie.

Christian Kakudo got on the scoreboard in the first half for the Hawks with his first goal of the year and he was assisted by Antonio Welch who had his first assist of the year, a somewhat rare occurrence for a goalie. Kakudo's goal gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead until later in the first half the Crush tied the score at one for the final score.

Welch had 5 saves on the day facing six shots on goal as he lowered his goals against average to 1.71 for the season. Welch is now 3-2-1 in the seven games he has started.

The Hawks remain in third place in the Big 8 with a 2-2-1 record and move to 6-6-2 overall.

Next up for the Hawks are games on Tuesday at Fresno at 2:30 against Fresno Community College and they are home on Friday at 4pm against West Hills-Lemoore.
