Another Comparan Brace Gives Hawks Big 2-0 Win vs ARC

(Sacramento)- The CRC men's soccer teams playoff push continues to go strong after a commanding performance away at American River College beating the Beavers 2-0 from another Comparan double.

The Hawks were outstanding defensively which provided the opportunity for their offense to play with confidence and were commanding by registering nine shots with four on goal.

But the Hawks defensive were just as outstanding by not allowing a single shot on goal in what was #0 Hector Grajeda 7th shutout of the year.

However, it was #24 Francisco Comparan who continued his hot goalscoring form starting in the 41st min from a precision through pass by #10 Liniker Carvalho.

Then in the 82nd min #13, Alvaro Ascencio played Comparan down the left channel where he was able to split between two defenders to freeze the Beavers goalkeeper with a shot to the bottom left to secure the 2-0 win.

This win gives the Hawks are a 4-2-1 in Big 8 league play and 7-7-4 overall with 3 games left to play.

Hawks play host to the Mustangs of Delta College Friday a 4 pm where they look to make it 3 wins in a row.
