FOLSOM (10-30) – Cosumnes River was looking to return to their winning ways as took on Folsom Lake College in Folsom. The Falcons scored a goal in each half and defeated the Hawks 2-0.
In the first half, the Falcons hit the scoreboard first. In the 35th minute, Folsom Lake was awarded a freekick and Christian de Lima scored to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, the two teams played at a back and forth pace. In the 51st minute, Miguel Medina intercepted the ball and scored to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead.
The Falcons won 2-0 sending the Hawks their second consecutive defeat.
The next game for the Hawks is Friday as they take on Modesto Junior College in Modesto. Kickoff is set for 3 pm.
