This Week: The #11 Hawks drew the #6 seed Butte College Roadrunners in the opening round of the CCCAA Men's Soccer Championship. The opening round starts on Saturday and the match-up is at 2 pm.

Scouting the Roadrunners: The Roadrunners finished the regular season with an 18-1-1 record. They won the Golden Valley Conference regular season championship with a 9-0 record in conference play. Charles Cleyton Alves Dos Santos led the Roadrunners in goals with 13. Matias Herrera Fuentes leads the Roadrunners with 3.67 saves per match.

Scouting the Hawks: The Hawks had a 9-7-5 overall record. Lincoln Carvalho and Francisco Comparan led the Hawks with six goals. Alecxis Jacobo-Trejo led the Hawks in saves with an 3.9 average per match

Last Time Out: The two teams did not play each other this season. The Hawks and Roadrunners have five common opponents – American River College, Feather River College, Folsom Lake, Modesto Junior College and San Joaquin Delta College. The Hawks had an 1-4-4 record against those opponents while the Roadrunners had a 4-1-1 record against those opponents.

Getting to Know Butte: Butte College opened in 1968 and moved in 1974 to Oroville.

Coach Ron Preble's Thought - "At the beginning of the year, the team felt that we had a group that will make the playoffs and that was one of our group objectives. Now, we've let the boys know that everything we have done (leading up to this point) has to be remembered but also forgotten because doesn't mean anything. It's all about winning one game at a time and it starts Saturday in Redding."
