This is Joel Rodriguez's first season as an assistant coach on the Cosumnes River men's soccer staff.

Rodriguez began playing soccer at a young age, and has playing experience at the club and intercollegiate levels.  He played competitively for Everton Elk Grove FC for five years, before moving on to play for Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove.  Coach Rodriguez also competed in Mexico, where he participated in youth academies in 2006 and 2008. 

Rodriguez played collegiately at Cosumnes River College under the guidance of head coach Ron Preble during the 2011 and 2012 seasons.  He earned "Hawk of the Year" and All-Big 8 conference recognition during his tenure with the Hawks.

Coach Rodriguez currently attends Sacramento State.
