13 Proves To Be Lucky Number In Sweep Of Lassen

The Hawks made a short day of work at CRC Stadium by defeating Lassen College in a doubleheader both by run rule in 5 innings. Behind strong hitting and strong pitching the Hawks were able to move their record to 14-3 on the season.

Game 1 the Hawks pounded 13 hits behind a 3 hit shutout from Aimee Hutchinson. The 13 hits produced 8 runs in a short 5 inning contest for a 8-0 win.

Game 2 produced another 13 hit contest while producing 10 runs in 5 innings with Angelica Dark throwing a no-hitter for the Hawks in a 10-1 win.

On the day, Brenda Velasquez hit a whopping 1.000 and lead the team with 5 RBIs while Raechel Hooper hit a powerful .833 average, Courtney Beatty hit .750, Kaitlin Pires .666, Amber Wright .571, and Lindsay Lambert .500. Hooper added 3 RBIs on the day.

The Hawks finish their non-conference games this Friday with a doubleheader at Feather River College with a 12 pm start time. Fans can following the game live on the Internet with the GAMECHANGER app. 

The Hawks will start their conference schedule with a doubleheader against Santa Rosa at CRC Stadium on March 12th. First game is scheduled to start at 12 pm.
