Thursday at CRC Stadium the sophomore class was honored for their contribution to the program in terms of their effort, drive, determination, dedication, and commitment to building the CRC Softball Program to the next level. Kaitlin Pires, Raechel Hooper, Brenda Velasquez, Dany Medina, and Kacey Lutz along with their family's were showcased between the Hawks last regular season homestand doubleheader in thanks for helping to elevate the program. The 5 sophomores were a part of the first Big 8 Conference Title in CRC history. Additionally, the sophomores were the core of the Hawks 3rd appearance at the State Championship in Bakersfield in 2015. Ultimately, the Hawks finish 4th in the State as a result of the performance of these 5 sophomores. Coach Schroeder had high praise for each player not only their athletic accomplishment but for their character as people and student athletes.
