Hawks Knocked Out Of Super Regionals

The Hawks started the weekend defeating Sierra College 5-1 in the Friday match-up. The highlights included Amber Wright and Kacey Lutz both going 3 for 3 at the plate and included a 2-run home run by Lutz. Angelica Dark got the win on the mound.

Game 2 Saturday saw a match-up of the #1 State ranked San Mateo College against the Hawks. The back and forth contest saw the game go into the 8th inning with the score tied 3-3. The Hawks couldn't hold San Mateo as they scored in the bottom of the 8th inning to take the win 4-3. The highlights included both Kaitlin Pires and Aimee Hutchinson going 2 for 4 at the plate. Angelica Dark took the loss for the Hawks.

Game 3 saw the Hawks face Sierra College for the second time in 2 days Saturday afternoon. The game went into the 6th inning tied 2-2 when Sierra scored 1 run to take a 3-2 lead and were able to hold on for a 3-2 win to knock the Hawks out of the Super Regionals. The Hawks spread out 5 hits throughout the lineup. Angelica Dark took the loss for the Hawks.

The Hawks end the season with a record of 33-12. This is a back-to-back 30 win season for the Hawks as they continue to build one of the premier community college softball programs in the region.
