The Hawks started the day on fire putting up 15 hits and plating 11 runs in 5 innings to beat Diablo Valley 11-0 in game 1 of the double header. In game 2, The Hawks couldn't match Diablo Valley's 14 hits and 10 runs, plus The Hawks committed 2 untimely errors to take the loss 10-6. The Hawks are now 5-4 in conference play.
In game 1, the offense was provided by Miranda Rodriguez who went 4 for 4 and 1 RBI, Baylee Hirtel went 2 for 2, Veronica Smith was 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs, and Alexus Acosta who went 3 for 4. Kaylee Mustard added 2 RBIs with a 2-run home run is the 4th. Brittany Baroni got the win for The Hawks throwing a 2-hit shutout and striking out 3 batters.
Game 2 started out in The Hawks favor with The Hawks taking a 4-0 lead into the top of the 4th, but The Hawks pitching allowed Diablo Valley to get back in the game giving up 9 hit and 7 earned runs in the inning. The Hawks took the loss in game 2 10-6. Miranda Rodriguez and Taelor Ford were 2 for 4 with Rodriguez picking up 2 RBIs and Ford adding 3 RBIs.
Ashleigh Berg got the start for The Hawks in game 2 and went 3 inning giving up 5 hits, striking out 1, and allowing 4 earned runs. Brittany Baroni came in relief and pitched 2 2/3 innings giving up 8 hits and allowing 3 earned runs and got the loss for The Hawks. Chelsea Martinez finished the game throwing 1 1/3 innings allowing no hits, no runs, and striking out 1.
On the day, Baylee Hirtel hit .800, Miranda Rodriguez hit .750 with 3 RBIs, and Veronica Smith hit .750 with 3 RBIs.
