In the first inning the Hawks drive in 8 runs batting around the line up. Amber Wright starts it off with a single, Korina Krueg drops down a sac bunt and Ashlee Kaiser singles putting the runners on the corners. Veronica Smith doubles driving in Wright and Kaiser. Cecilia Rivera walks and with runners on 1st and 2nd Hannah Flynn singles driving in the 3rd run of the inning. Following it up is Saenn Powell who doubles driving in Rivera and Flynn. The Hawks are able to push across three more runs in the first on wild pitches and fielder choices. Hawks scored 8 runs.

Modesto is able to stop the Hawks from scoring in the 2nd but the Hawks bats come alive again in the 3rd. Leading the inning off Flynn doubles, Powell walks and they both score on a Courtney Lozano single. A fielders choice gives the Hawks their 11th run of the game and the 12th run comes off the bat of Kylee Boykin that scores Kaiser.

Ashleigh Berg has a quick 1-2-3 inning in the 3rd. Going into the 4th the Hawks are leading 12-0. Berg gets the inning started with a single and is driven in on a Cassandra Thomas triple. An error pushed across another run and puts Lozano on third. Lozano is driven in on a Krueg single. Smith singles scoring Krueg and moves Kaiser to 2nd who was on from another single. Up for the 2nd time this inning Flynn singles to center scoring Smith and Boykin.

Gabrielle Montaie comes into the game in the bottom of the 4th to pitch for the Hawks and Modesto jumps on her and pick up their only two runs of the game.

Looking to keep their bats alive Krueg gets the first triple of the inning and is driven in on a Kasier triple. Smith follows up with a double scoring Kasier. Rivera singles scoring Smith and moving Boykin to 2nd.
