SACRAMENTO (3-12) - Cosumnes River traveled north to take on American River College in Big 8 Conference play. The Hawks won 6-5 over the Beavers.
The Hawks got on the board in the first inning when Anabelle Benfiet homered to give the Hawks a 3-0 lead. The Hawks trailed 4-3 in the top of the fifth inning when Ashlee Kaiser had a bases loaded double.
The Hawks had twelve hits in the game. Mary Baccay, Benfiet, Aliah Cisneros, Kaiser and Hannah Steege each had two hits apiece.
Rebekah Pedersen pitched a complete game for the Hawks. Pedersen allowed ten hits and five runs while striking out six and walked one.
The next game for the Hawks will be tomorrow as they take on Sierra College in Rocklin.
