Cosumnes River College pitcher and first baseman Danielle Pfennig has signed with La Sierra University in Riverside, CA. Pfennig's three-year career at Cosumnes River culminated in a 2022 season when she was first-team all-Big 8 and NFCA Cal JC all-American.
"La Sierra is getting a steal. Danielle is a fantastic hitter and will be a great player for the Golden Eagles," said head coach Kristy Schroeder. "She can fill a lot of roles for them and help La Sierra move into the upper ranks of the NAIA."
Pfennig started at CRC during the 2020 season shortened by the COVIS-19 pandemic. In her lone full season for the Hawks, she hit .379 and led the team with 24 RBI. She also notched three wins in the circle and ended the season with a .991 fielding percentage at first base.
