Heading into the fourth quarter leading by three, holding the Panthers ultimately to 23% shooting in spite of a hot shooting player against you, might seem like a lock.
Unfortunately the Hawks were outscored 26-12 in the fourth as the Panthers grabbed the 59-47 Big 8 victory.
The Hawks were led by Daija Ward who had 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the losing cause. Trina Shaner had 9 points to back up Ward's effort. Nayani Gordon snatched 9 rebounds to go with her 4 points for the Hawks.
Even though the Hawks out rebounded the Panthers, CRC was hampered by the fact that four players fouled out for the second game in a row. Gina Ingravallo, Taneisha Dyer, Akila Britton, and QuoQuese Jackson all departed early for the Hawks.
With the loss the Hawks fall to 6-17 on the season and 2-8 in Big 8 Conference action.
