Stockton, CA- After taking home their first victory on the season, Cosumnes River College went back on the road to take on San Joaquin Delta College. The Hawks (1-2) traveled for their 3rd road game of the season against Delta (3-1). Despite shooting a season high of 43.1% the Hawks were unable to stop the offensive attack of the Mustangs who shot 47.1% from the field.
Leading the Hawks offense, was Brookelyn Larkin who shot 45% from the field. Larkin also shot 50% from the free throw line to combine for 25 points. Trina Shaner shot 60% from behind the 3 point line to help her contribute 20 points for the Hawk offense. Shaner was also 2-2 from the free throw line to help contribute to her offense. Off the bench, Jenna Elston and Marya Reynolds added 7 points apiece while combining to shoot 5-5 from the field. Quoquese Jackson lead the hawks with 14 rebounds, with 6 being offensive rebounds.
Up next- The Hawks return home for a matchup against Sacramento City College (3-2). This will be the Hawks second home game during conference play. Coming off a home win against Folsom Lake, Cosumnes River looks to defend their home court once again. The game will be played at 5:30pm at Clark Court.
