Hawks fall to Undefeated Sierra at Home

Sacramento, CA- Cosumnes River College started their first game of a four game home stand on Wednesday against Sierra College. The Hawks were once again short-handed only able to dress 6 players on Wednesday. With 47 seconds left, Micaela Dagler fouled out leaving the Hawks with only 5 eligible players. The Hawks continued to play hard despite not having any subs against a Sierra team that had 7 substitutes see game action. In the fourth quarter, Quoquese Jackson was charged with her 5th foul, leaving the Hawks to play 4 on 5 for the last 7:45.

Brookelyn Larkin lead the Hawks with a double-double that consisted of 25 points and 11 rebounds. Trina Shaner also added 15 points while grabbing 8 rebounds. As a team, the Hawks shot 28.6% from the field, to go along with 33.3% from the free throw line and 66.7% from the 3-point line. Despite being shorthanded and undersized, the Hawks grabbed 16 offensive rebounds and forcing 25 turnovers.

Up Next- The Hawks continue their home stand this Friday against American River College. Game time will be pushed back to 7:30 on Clark Court at Cosumnes River College. The Hawks look to rebound and get their second win at home.
