Shorthanded Hawks Unable to Pull a Victory on Sophomore Night

Sacramento, CA- As customary in sports, the last home game of the season is used to honor the players that are in their last season for their respective school. For the Cosumnes River College Women's Basketball team, this came for the sophomores on Friday against Santa Rosa Junior College. The Hawks honored their two sophomores during pre-game by introducing them to the crowd and taking pictures of the players and their families and friends in attendance. For Cosumnes River, #5 Quoquese Jackson and #11 Trina Shaner leave with intentions to transfer and finish up their degrees.

Jennifer Jacobs, an Assistant Coach for the Hawks was asked to reflect on her two sophomores and their time at CRC. She stated, "Trina and Q have been such a pleasure to have on this team for the past 2 years. To see their growth, not only in basketball, but personally as well, has been amazing. These two young ladies have been a joy to coach and I know whatever they choose to do in their lives, they will be successful. They will be missed."

During the game, the Hawks were only able to dress 5 players. Guard Alexiza Liddell was unable to play due to injury.
