HAWKS FIGHT TO THE END BUT ARE DEFEATED BY VISITING MUSTANGS

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - After a valiant effort, the Hawks women's soccer team fell to the visiting San Joaquin Delta Mustangs 1-0 in their match on Nov. 6, bringing the Hawks' record to 3-8-1 in conference and 6-10-2 overall. The Mustangs only needed the one goal, scored by Jessica Sanchez after 22 minutes of play, as their goalie  Shaunna Ridge was able to deflect or grab every shot attempt by the Hawks.

With only two games remaining in the regular season, the Hawks face off against their fellow Los Rios sister schools for the final games. Sac City, who are at the bottom spot in the Big 8 with a record of 0-12 in conference and 1-17 overall, will play host to the Hawks tomorrow at 6 pm. On Nov. 13 at 7 pm, the Hawks finish the regular season with a match against American River College who are currently 3-9 in conference and 6-11 overall for the season, putting them right behind the Hawks in Big 8 Conference rankings.

The Hawks defeated both teams in their previous matches this season, beating SCC 6-0 on Oct. 13 and ARC 3-1 on Oct. 16.
