Spotting the Wolverines a two goal lead is never easy to comeback from in the tough Big 8 conference. Sierra scored in the 38th minute to take the lead they would never relinquish. Halftime was 1-0 Sierra.

In the second half Sierra went up 2-0 in the 70th minute before Averen Calvin put the Hawks on the board in the 81st minute with her third goal of the year and it was an unassisted goal.

For the game the Hawks outshot the Wolverines 14-10 in the match with Sierra having a 6-5 advantage in shots-on-goal. Elizabeth Kowalczyk had four saves on the day for the Hawks

Next up for the Hawks is a Tuesday night match against American River College on the pitch here at Cosumnes River under the lights at 7pm. The Hawks are 1-3 in Big 8 play and 3-5-2 overall. ARC is 1-2 in Big 8 action and overall the Beavers are 2-5-1.
