Calvin hat trick leads Hawks!

It was the complete game Coach Plasencia has been looking for from his Hawks all season as CRC outshot and out scored an opponent completely from beginning to end on Friday on the Panthers home turf.

Andrea Story got the Hawks rolling in the 5th minute with her fourth goal of the season with an assist from Yvonne Taylor, her first assist of the season.

In the 26th minute Averen Calvin scored her first of three goals on the day, her fourth of the year with an assist from Story. The Hawks led at the half 2-0, out shooting the Panthers by a 5-2 margin. Lupita Fierros had 2 saves of her 5 for the game in the first half.

Story scored first for the Hawks in the second half in the 68th minute with her second of the game and the fifth for her on the season. Amanda Lopez had the assist for Story's goal, her first of the year.

Calvin scored next in the 70th minute with her second of the game and her fifth of the year with an assist from Lauren Azevedo, also her first assist on the year.

Calvin then put the exclamation point on the victory wioth the hat trick goal, her sixth of the year in the 77th minute as Story had the assist her second assist of the day as the Hawks finished out the 5-0 victory. The Hawks kept the pressure on the Panthers in the second half out shooting the 5-3 for a 10-5 margin for the game.

The Panthers fall to 0-5 in Big 8 play and 2-9 overall while the Hawks are 2-3-1 in conference play and 4-5-3 overall on the year.

Next up for the Hawks is a road game against Modesto JC at 3:30 on Friday the 7th.
