Folsom Lake stops Hawks playoff drive.

It was a tough match for both teams on the Folsom Lake pitch as the Hawks were trying to move on in the Nor-Cal Regional playoffs.

The first half a feeling out period as Assistant Coach Rich Moorhouse put it, "It was a competitive game both ways, we had three scoring chanes in the first half and they had one good chance but it was scoreless at half, good defensive play by both teams I thought."

The Falcons came out and scored in the 60th minute and finished it up in the 69th minute with a penalty kick for the final total of 2-0.

Folsom Lake did a good job bottling up Hawks freshman Averen Calvin with a different look as Moorhouse noted, "they did a good job by spacing two players out with one deep to counteract her speed so they always had someone back to help out."

The Hawks finish up at 10-9-5 overall on the season with a 7-6-3 mark in the tough Big 8 Conference. It was a big step forward for the Hawks from their 8-11-1 finish last year including the four win improvement from last years 3-6-1 mark in conference play
