SACRAMENTO (9-10) - Cosumnes River completed their two match homestand today as they take on Cerritos College. The Falcons scored three second half goals and won 4-0.

In their last match, the Hawks won 5-4 over Lake Tahoe Community College on Friday in Sacramento while the Falcons tied with Lake Tahoe 0-0 Thursday in South Lake Tahoe.

In the first half, Cerritos got on the scoreboard early. With 33:54 left in the half, Alixzandra Evans scored off a pass from Itzel Ballesteros to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead. The Hawks would not have a shot in the first half. The Falcons led 1-0 at halftime.

In the second half, the Falcons kept the offensive pressure up. With 14:16 left, Ballesteros scored to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead. Just over two minutes later, Evans would score again to give the Falcons a 3-0 lead. The Falcons would score their last goal on a Mia Ramirez shot off a pass from Jazmin Ramos with 3:06 left.

Alex Torres had the lone shot of the day for the Hawks while for Cerritos, Ramirez had a match high six shots. Deisy Rodriguez got the win for Cerritos while Shelby Hand got the loss for the Hawks. Cerritos outshot Cosumnes River 23-1 while Cerritos had six more fouls (9-3) than did Cosumnes River.

The Hawks will have their next match on Tuesday as they will start Big 8 Conference play as they take on Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill. Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm.
