Hawks Fall 3-0 To Folsom Lake

SACRAMENTO (9-25) – Cosumnes River came up short on Tuesday losing 3-0 to CCCAA #5 Folsom Lake College in Sacramento. The Hawks were outshot by Folsom 13-9 for the match.

In the first half, the Falcons outshot the Hawks 7-4. Despite the Falcons' shot advantage, Tanayjah Tamano was up to the challenge saving two shot. The Falcons gained the lead in the 32nd minute when Riley Spitzer from Folsom took a shot from top of the box. Tamano saw the low-powered shot late and was unable to get her hands on it. The Hawks conceded the second goal three minutes later. The Hawks' shot opportunities in the first half came from Bailey Bradford, Obioma Onejeme and Alexandria Torres.

In the second half, the Hawks had two great goal scoring opportunities. Onejeme slipped in behind the Falcon's defense with a chip ball from Mia Cazel but she was unable to place the ball in the back of the net. Just a few plays later, Taya Bradford started a counter attack connecting her pass with Bailey Bradford who took a shot on goal that hit the left post. The Falcons' final goal came in the 62nd minute.
