Hawks Fall 1-0 to Vikings

PLEASANT HILL (10-19) - Cosumnes River traveled to Pleasant Hill to take on Diablo Valley College. The Hawks fell 1-0 to the Vikings.

In the first half, the two teams played at a back and forth pace. Neither team could score as the match was tied 0-0 at halftime.

In the second half, the Vikings would get on the scoreboard on a Marjan Haydaree goal in the 69th minute. The Hawks outshot the Vikings 5-2 in the second half of play. In the 75th minute, Mia Cazel's shot was saved by Vikings' goalkeeper Danielle Davis from 22 yards out on a free kick. Moments later, Davis denied a header from Taya Bradford. The Hawks continued to scratch for a potential game-tying tally but nothing would materialize as the Vikings won 1-0.

The Hawks will host American River College on Tuesday. Kickoff at 3:30 pm.
