Hawks Compete in ARC Time Trials

SACRAMENTO (3-15) – The Hawks headed to American River College for the ARC Time Trials. The Hawks competition included Big 8 Conference members Sacramento City College and Sierra College as well as the host Beavers.

The Hawks came off a tough week of training and swam personal records throughout the whole day. The morning kicked off with Emily Kline swimming the 500 meter freestyle, in which she is finished fourth, and the rest of the Hawks raced the 100 freestyle. Sabrina Burt finished fifth in the 50 meter freestyle and ninth overall in the 100 meter freestyle. Kline finished eighth overall in the 200 freestyle. 

After the morning races, the Hawks came back to race in the afternoon races. In the final races, Kline held her fourth place finish in the 500 meter freestyle and eighth place in both the 400 meter individual medley and 200 freestyle. Burt finished fifth overall in the 50 meter freestyle and held her ninth place finish in the 100 meter freestyle.

The next event for the Hawks is tomorrow as they host the CRC Invitational.
