Kline Breaks School Record as Hawks Host CRC Invitational

SACRAMENTO (3-16) – On Saturday, the Hawks walked back onto the pool deck for second day in a row as they hosted the CRC Invitational. The Hawks' competition featured Laney College and Sacramento City College.

The morning opened up with Emily Kline breaking her existing 200 meter butterfly record time by three seconds breaking the school record for a second time this month. The record now sits at 3:03.77. Sabrina Burt finishing first in the 100 meter freestyle, Kline finished third in the 100 meter backstroke and Baylie Butler placed third in the 100 meter breaststroke. The day ended with a close race between the three schools in the 200 Freestyle Relay. Laney placed first and the Hawks beat Sacramento City by two-tenths of a second.

It was a pleasure to host the visiting teams and we appreciated all the community support from Monterey Trail High School, family, friends and the KHA department who came out to cheer us on and support us throughout the day.
