The women's swim team hit the road this weekend for a 2 day invitational at Shasta College. CRC faced Sac City and Shasta's women in the pool. Day 1 was filled with exciting relay swims and it ended with a fun mixed teams relay. Day 2 was a sprint pentathlon style meet. There were some close swims which made for an entertaining meet to watch. Euly Cervera, CRC's first ever diver, took part in the diving competition with Shasta Friday afternoon. She performed well in 3 of the 5 categories required to score points for the team. It was an impressive undertaking since Euly is so new to the sport. She began diving in January of this year and has picked up an enormous amount of skill in a short time. Brylee Brophy, freshman Hawk had some great swims this weekend considering she was still recovering from the flu. She managed to break 5 school records for the team all in one day! She now holds the records for the 50 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Fly & 100 Breast. We are very proud of you both! Looking forward to watching you compete as we move into conference meets.
