CRC Tennis shows well at State Tournament!

The Cosumnes River College Tennis team is inexperienced in the ways of high-pressure tennis tournaments, but that didn't stop them from showing what the rest of the Big 8 should expect next year when they face the Hawks.

In Women's play there were both doubles and singles to be interested in as Taylor Galya was in both singles play as well as being with her partner Clarence Fernandez in doubles.

In their doubles matches Taylor and Clarence defeated Jbouri/Garcia, a team from Cuyamaca College in the first round bracket in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. Later on Thursday the two faced off against the number six team in SoCal. Judy Ung and Connie Aranguiz, who incidentally is the number six singles player in the southland as well were a very tough team to be up against. The Hawks doubles team lost in straight sets 6-1, 6-0. The doubles match was one of three Taylor was involved in on Thursday and the effort she put out was outstanding!
